eduroam Configuration
eduroam requires configuration on the end user device to function securely.
Verification of the server identity is the most important step towards security. The verification is done by installing a trust anchor, the "Certification Authority" (CA), and by specifying the expected name of the authentication server in the end user device.
The CA and the expected server name vary per eduroam Identity Provider.
The exact configuration instructions, including those two security parameters, is communicated on the Identity Provider's helpdesk web site. Please consult that local helpdesk page for further details.
Some Identity Providers make use of the automated configuration tool eduroam CAT. You may want to check that web page to find out if automatic configuration is available for your device and your Identity Provider.
